The is a very complimentary write-up in sprint, summarised here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

As the title suggests I would like to hear from people with first hand experience of the torque v8 turbo kit, preferably those who retained the 14cux, want to know about any issues extra costs and anything else of note that I need to be aware of.
Thanks
Rob
Replied to your mail. There are some on here with the kit it's quiet here on Sundays so stick with it. I know a guy called Sapper has one on here and couple others. Thanks
Rob
Oh, and VERY chuffed with mine
I asked a similar question to you a few days ago. I've opted for the turbo from Powers after adding up both turbo installations which were almost the same price all in. Some more opinions if you can be bothered are in this thread:

A major consideration is what you do with the ECU and ignition having bolted the turbo on. The stock 14CUX and dizzy are not ideal, although they can be made to work, setting the ignition timing for boosted pressures with a distributor diaphram requires frigging somewhat. I know Eann got it to work, but I dont recollect how. I think its was the same system that was used in early Turbo cars from the 1980's that still used dizzy's. I assume Macdeb has gone for fully mappable aftermarket ECU and ignition ?

Mac is on MS2 with Ford CP's Mark This is taken from Powers website:
"Each Powers Performance Turbo package includes a coil pack driven MBE system which does away with the need for your stepper motor, air mass meter and distributor. Also included in the package is a new engine wiring harness, trigger wheel, set of high volume injectors and new MBE ECU mapped to 100 rpm increments."

I've got Eann's kit, had it fitted by Eann about 2 years now,,,,,,,, brilliant. Takes the TVR to a different level.
I had mega squirt ECU at the same time so can't be much help with the 14CUX side of the question. Eann did run with it for a while but eventually changed to mega squirt I think.

I've just checked and it's gone. Perhaps best to send your own email address via PM and I'll send it there. Checked my email but I have not received your message and it's not in the junk, I am very interested in what you and others have to say about this so please if possible could you resend.
