HOORAH!

I wouldn't worry about the smoke at this stage.

Money on alternator or PS pump?

Pull the belt off and run for a short while, it'll put your mind at rest.

In my experience the whining noise in a TVR usually comes from the passenger seat......though when I took Ace of Hearts significant other, Mel, around Cadwell Park it turned into a high pitched squeaking noise every time I braked, and every time I didn't brake, in equal proportions.

Ive only drove it out the garage. Soon to be on the trailer behind Thunderbird 2.
I am going down to Broseley tonight and have Dales magic done tomorrow.
Then back up to Preston for the cruise Friday night then to York for 2 days racing.
