Are the two circuits on separate relays ? and if so can the starter motor one simply be switched when the dash top is removed ? Reason I ask is that I'm going to replace the dash this winter and might as well replace relays if I have ready access.
Many Thanks
Jeremy
The relays are internal to the immobiliser unit and are not easily changed as they are potted, whilst it's not impossible to do, it is a messy and involved process and usually a lot easier just to have the unit replaced by the usual suspects :- HF Solutions, Abacus Alarms or Carl Baker. Many Thanks

Well the old girl has let me down. I'm stuck in a multi storey with what I assume to be an immobiliser issue.
Immobiliser clicks when disengaged, the fuel pump activates, but whether key is turned, nothing happens.
Late in the day I know. I had a similar problem with my Chim. The fuel pump would start but the engine would not turn over. I discovered (yeah, I got frustrated) that slapping the underside of the passenger dash when holding the key in the start position would start the car!Immobiliser clicks when disengaged, the fuel pump activates, but whether key is turned, nothing happens.
The problem was diagnosed as a dying starter immobiliser relay and when Carl Baker replaced the immobiliser the problem went away and has not returned.
My immobiliser was in the passenger dash and my slapping jogged the relay into working.
