Knocking at front

I have a slight knocking at the front when I go over bumps/dips. I was wondering if this is the suspension bushes. Other options could be something loose, anti roll bar etc. Can anyone confirm this if possible by my rubbish description. It seems to come more from the driver side. Its being serviced at Penninsula in 2 weeks so I may get whatever it is done also I havent had chance to look yet, I may have a gander tomorrow. Any thoughts. The car has done 17000 miles if that helps.

Certainly sounds like bushes to me! Should all be checked when it's serviced anyway!

I had same thing (possibly) - intermittent knocking from somewhere at the front. Does it sound like it swaps sides occasionally? Bushes all ok (PEninsual), then had THames Valley (local) swap anti roll bar links , and n/s ball joint. Made no immediate difference though car felt good.

Now, this was a couple of months ago, but I have recently realised that it (touching wood) has simply stopped. So SOMETHING has happened

Fixed itself type of thing. If you ever find out do let us all know as it's very odd.

yeah and if the car feels better it obviously wasn't needed in the first place .. weight saving = lighter and faster and now quieter too, that's what i call a result.
