Rich (Sheel)....Sad News
Discussion
Very sad news, I never had the pleasure of meeting Rich but I read that thread through from start to finish shortly after I started frequenting the Chim section and it was incredibly moving. It really does bring home the point about never knowing what's around the corner, but at the same time it's great to see what a fantastic community there is on here and the sheer enthusiasm to pull together for such a good cause.
RIP.
RIP.
Yes Richard, I think he'll enjoy the sound and a fitting tribute from some of his Tvr friends on his final ride.
Considering re building his car helped take his mind of his illness it's something I think he'll really appreciate and be very proud of.
When helping Rich tighten up a few bolts on his car we did try and make it fun, I remember him telling me of the time when he was around 14/15 years old and had a canoe, Richie was an accumplished engineer throughout his life,
He decided it was to slow and a pain paddling it,, so cut a hole out the bottom, fitted a little two stroke engine and made it work,, we laughed lots over things like that.
in another life I could have got to know him well but we both suddenly faced huge difficulty, before I was thrown into turmoil I'd stand and admire him for just carrying on, I admired his dignity.
I'm not part of Rich's family and this is a public forum,
Rich will have some Tvr's warming his soul on his final road trip and I'll be one of them.
A proud and sad moment I'm sure,
Richard I think would also appreciate the words from the people above.
I can only speak for myself but thank you and these mental thoughts travel across space and time, Rich will feel them and smile.
May his spirit live on.
Many regards Al.
