Mac.
It's a great car, part of you...........but,.......it's all done now and you need a challenge.
You, (me and others) can't keep still, we need something to do. Sell it to an appreciating someone without your fiddling talents and move on.
Buy a Tuscan with a shagged engine, plant an LS or similar in it and enjoy the garage time, I would!

Thank you Peter, and the idea you suggest has appealed in the past but most of my time is now taken up by these. and there's more! [try not to laugh] Since I came back from LeMans Classic last July the car has done about 150 miles, just 'ain't right is it.

Now you're talking.
Taught myself when I was mid 20s and loved it, (although I was crap)!
Taught my daughter the basics when she was about 14 and in about 2 weeks she was better than me!
I just aint cut out for it I guess but enjoy a simple strum.........
Do what you have to do, you only got one life and it's only money.

Sorry Mac but I just can't get excited about those Guitars, your car however
But You however have found an old/new passion that is great joy to yourself and like minded friends and that can not or should not be replaced.
Time or the lack of seem's to be the key issue here,to me it looks like you really need to decide which is giving you the most joy with the time you have.
Sitting with friends playing/making music or standing around in car parks, convoy drives and memorable drives to LeMan and Moto Gp events. You need to decide if you can't do both which one makes life more pleasing.
I'm pretty sure you know that I'm lucky enough to have plenty of free time on my hands, yet my car is hardly getting used. It's Nowhere even close to the beautiful car that you've created but I just look at the weather and the dirty roads where I live and think No not today. Again I think you know I'm not opposed to getting my car a bit wet or dirty but I just keep putting it off. A big part of it surely must be the weather, and with all the power you have I'd be buggered if I'd want to go out in anything other than fine dry roads.
TVR ownership to me is probably my main hobby and passion and I don't even go close to the spanners,I just love the cars and the People who have discovered that these cars just do it for us.(And mines just a standard little 400) But I love it.
Guitars or TVR is the question you need to ask yourself in bed at night Bloke.

I'm sure a couple of guitars will go in the boot... look forward to hearing a few chords at a Tiv gathering come better weather! ?
We can only play in front of people we don't know.Did you see my reply earlier Gary? (below)

Reckon anyone would want it?
Keep it mate; the sheer graft and thought you've put into it will never be reflected in what you might realise, and it will gut you when you see someone else enjoying it (I know this from more than one special bike I hastily parted with). The life stuff that is getting in the way currently will not be forever and the itch will come back soon enough. I'd part with a kidney before selling mine and it's a nail next to yours....
Macdeb Said;
You raise a good point Gary, I realise that the market for it would be smaller than say a standard car then again lot's more people are modifying them or maybe want one with all the work done. I know for sure that my expenditure on it will never be realised/returned. Thing is, should I sell as is or maybe sell the drivetrain separately and install a standard engine/clutch/gearbox/driveshafts. Important bit of course, What price? The headlight mod doesn't appeal to everyone but I [and yourself] love it. Keeping me awake at night now.
I have just read this blatant dig which I clearly failed to notice when it was originally posted. I find the suggestion that 'PH peeps' (who obviously have good taste and great integrity and love hand built British sports cars) would stoop to such depths as to 'just tempt you on this forum' or attempt to lure someone to the 'dark side' to be fanciful to say the least and libellous at worst.
(p.s. hope the neck's improving Iain)

Ive been thinking of selling up recently too as i dont use the car much now i have a 10 month old daughter to keep me occupied!
I cant quite bring myself to do it yet though, these cars do take a hold on you once you have owned one.
I have four children, all a bit older now, ha ha and had 15 years of people carriers. Hold out for as long as you can! I cant quite bring myself to do it yet though, these cars do take a hold on you once you have owned one.
Once it is sold the money will be swallowed up buying usual family crap that you don't need, millions of guys will tell you the same thing.

I like the little practice amp the best,,,
When I was way to young we were seriously organised with our own practice room,,,,
Everything just set up,,, 3 nights a week we'd blast the roof off the place, we got quite good and the neighbours didn't complain
There's something very cool and deeply exciting about a music room.
I miss it lots,,, not the gigs, just the jamming and grooving new rifs and words,,, hell of a thing to be involved in,, 6 of us,,,
And an engineer who was devoted
Good times.
Your cars a bit like the perfect rif Mac,,, everything in tune and timed up to the hilt

In our old band we used to say that practising was for people who were good! Which we certainly weren't I like the little practice amp the best,,,

Need to ask Mac. If you do part with the old girl, what are you thinking of replacing it with? You seem a very restive person with the drive to be doing something constantly? Would you get another Tiv and modify like Gary suggested (LS in something?)? Or are you looking for something completely different?
PS it was you and Gary among others who helped persuade me to get the turbo and so relieve me of all my cash. You've a lot to answer for
