Phuk! Derek emailed me about half an hour ago and said he would have them. Bend his ear maybe.

I will bring them down and another pair of 5 stud spares without tyres and we can talk.
Hmmm if I was a nice fair sportsman I would let you have those tyres Neal.

Mac has a set that I was going to borrow so my runs should be on decent rubber which will help smile

Do you spin at all on the ET's ?

How much nitrous are you going to run ??

You can spin them up on the wet patch but when the track was warm, ( as well as the tyres) you can dump the clutch at full revs with little spin with the Mickies!

cool, so I should get a good get away for once. When Baz launched off for his ten they worked well.

So not many people signed up for this then, we need to get it on the other TVR forums get some other TVR's there.

Who is camping over ?

neal, if I warm my MTs up enough to create smoke for a few seconds then I can launch as hard as I dare off the line with no wheelspin whatsoever. At the weekend at York I ran 1.60 to 60 feet with only a 70 shot of nitrous. I am not sure I dare use much more as the current engine is back to cast Pistons with cutouts. I managed 11.4 at 118

I noticed that I couldn't better a 0-60ft, 2.4 seconds with my shagged R1Rs but did a 1.65 with the Micky Ts. Hmm.

So I post a link to this in the other TVR sections to generate some interest and they get deleted....

I don't know why we bother organizing anything on here. I mean a link back promoting something were doing is hardly crime of the century. (only to TVR sections)

Not like I'm advertising a business or selling products.

And nobody ever goes into the TVR Events section.

Well I hope the jobsworth who deleted it feels proud now, because at some point people will have enough and leave! you constantly target the wrong people who post on here and make it what it is..

Rant over, so shall I spin up a new Server and stick some forum software on it......

Sign of the times bloke and I agree with you, what's the bloody harm in promoting a TVR event to other TVR owners who may be interested, st even may come back posting pictures on other forums creating even more interest on PH! Yet, some (and we know who) are allowed to blatantly plug their business untouched which is totally out of order smash

Bloody hell if I could have got that 1.65 to 60ft at Shakey that would give me a 12.6 ET bounce

My only visit to a cold damp Santa Plod I did a 1.98 60ft on my first ever run, on rubbish road tyres.
I was 2.09 and 2.27 on my R888s. Makes you think.

Some useful advice & help from Derek but ended with an ultimatum on running street tyres for dragging plus a cold track frown it was still cold that time of the year not an ideal combo .... But its fun anyway but slightly frustrating at the same time hehe just for the die hard RV8 fans go straight to 1.10 seconds a 9 in the making smokin takes me back to my youth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fau306JdU94

Which is the only reason I'm returning for another go smile and it's a right good craic.
The times matter but not really that relevant in the real world. I'd still rather have my nice idle and low speed manners than another 1/2 second because I have a more aggressive cam installed. I'm happy with my little 885
Of course if I muster a blinding time you'll never hear the end of it biggrin

As a rule of thumb every tenth gained at 60 foot is worth at least 2 at the 1/4 mile.

I thought that 2.4 sounded a bit stupid.

On checking, the best with my shagged set of Toyo R1Rs was 1.84 seconds and another four or five runs in between that and 1.97 seconds.
