I need to replace all of mine as they are past it. I do not want to put the Corrado OE wing mirrors back on, so what is the current alternative?
The headlights are also garbage and unserviceable. Has anyone tried projector ones yet? If not, what's the best alternative replacement?

Also, does anyone know where I can buy the headlight clear/smoked perspex pods/covers from?

Thanks in advance

regarding the wing mirrors the usual is on early cars to replace the citroen units with corrado units so not sure what else would fit lupo headlights are a common retro fit for the original scania units which can be resilvered or resourced with better bulbs i hate the griff looking covers so have no input there.

Every tvr from the Cerbera onwards has Corrado mirrors. Excellent replacement, except you only get about 60% of a nearside mirror view.

Headlights - try better bulbs. Ring do some 120% brighter bulbs that actually give enough light to drive by.
Some people fit Lupo lights, or Central TVR do a complete faired in kit, fitted and painted in your car colour, or as a diy kit
And then there is the whole LED kit scene.

I have read that some people are using these....Audi TT ( Mk 1 I believe). The base needs a slight trim but I have seen them fitted and they look OK.

"On the side"

Do the Corrado mirrors fit flush, the mounts in my doors have been chopped out and will need glassing over?

Me too got no mirrors.

cool

If the holes in the doors have been filled in, then you can fit Corrado mirrors without adaptors. If not, then you need the adaptors, from Fibreon

You can get headlamp pods from Steve Edwards.

I have the Central TVR HiD kit and new reflectors fitted and they are so much better than the originals it's quite scary thinking I could see anything at all previously. There are probably better light generating kits out there in the LED world but the Central upgrade kept the car looking the same which is something I wanted to do.

Please note that the Steve Edwards kit does not look anything like the covers that TVR fitted to the Mk3. The MK3 covers have only a small bead to point around the cover - the Steve Edward solution is to leave in place the light pod which leave the headlight reflector and glass in the same place, as the existing cowl is no longer required the 25 / 50mm gap require covering with a black strip.

When I did mine I looked at this and decided it looked aftermarket, the only advantage I could see was the existing lights could be retained.

I got my MK3 kit from Fibreon which came complete with new lights, pods and covers either smoked or clear - quite easy for a competent DIY, the only downside having to take a saw to your pride and joy and cut out the existing pods, but the thought is far harder than the act. Not much info as instruction, but the guy from Fibreon will talk you through it

Just to add that I got the Fibreon adaptor for the VW mirrors at the same time - my motivation for the changes was that one of the headlight glass was cracked and one of the original mirror tripods had been repaired but would only last around 2 years. Headlight and original mirror parts are very expensive and hard to find.

Thanks for the replies so far chaps.
The mirror thing seems a bit hit and miss at the mo. The TT mirrors (in Qbee's pic??) look better, but I'm not sure I'd want them so proud/giraffe neck looking. Need to see them in a pic with the whole car to know for sure. Thanks for uploading the pic Q.

I think I've seen the Steve Edwards light covers and I prefer the Fiberon ones as they look OE Mk3, which I prefer. Still unsure as to what units are out there on the market that people have already used on their Chims and can vouch for. Apart from the Lupo ones, which don't look too bad.
I did hear someone talking about truck/lorry/van(?) ones a while back, but can't remember the thread.

Will need to give Fiberon a call to see how the kit is installed, because I have already started filling in the holes that were under the old cowls.

Mine are Corrado, not TT, and are mounted using the Fibreon adaptors (also sold by TVR Power amongst others). The adaptor is the circular looking bit next to the door, and is there because I had the big holes left from removing the Citroen mirrors.
But if you are filling in the holes, then you can mount Corrado mirrors without the adaptors, which is how they are mounted on Cerberas etc, and they will look less swan necked.
