It's not often that you see something that's been modified looking like it's more authentic that the original. But I have to say this mod surpasses the designer's cut and is how it should have looked.

I'm convinced this is what I want my Starmist Blue 450 to look like. How about we contact Peninsula and negotiate the price for a job lot - how many have we got in line?

Its been a while! There a bit been done mind - Nitrons, big disks & 4 pots, service, MoT, headlight conversion.

Should have it back next week. Its having a new screen put in at the moment, they noticed the stitches had rotted away while checking it over.

They've put some grilles in the old indicator apertures since the pics to finish it off.

What would it look like I wonder if they filled the indicator aperture in and rounded it off?

Exactly what I was thinking Mikey... right then, who's going to be the first to get it done?

that's the best chim conversion I've seen - nice one. funny how just moving the indicator up top transforms the looks .. I hate the ordinary conversion with just the headlights done .. with the extra small indicator up top and the original removed I now love it!!

I think the three gaping black holes gives it a menacing quality. They were going to put some fogs in the empty holes, but thought it might get a bit MaxP.

Without the apertures:

You'd best ask 'em! I haven't had the bill yet!!! I think its somewhere around £1.2k, including the front end respray, VAT inc. My bill is quite a bit more than than, but I've had lots done.

Ring Neil at Peninsula on 0188 435341. Tell him you've seen Phil Short's car on PistonHeads. He seems quite pleased with the way its turned out himself.

And thanks for the appreciation! I kinda like it myself!

Couldn't you have got a different colour one, it looks just like mine

Seriously, looking bloody good, I'm still waiting for some bits to finish mine. It's so hard to not drive it and do the work when it's on the road !!

Having seen Victor's Photohop demo I don't mind either of 'em.

It does look very mean and moody tho Vic - just the way it should. Let us know what the finish and increased lighting is like etc when it's back. Do they deliver (ie on a flatbed) or are you driving back - it's a long way from you to them.

hink I prefer the Peninsula one with the moved indicators to the TVR Boyshop one tho (as someone else mentioned).

It is a Zertec S12 conversion carried out by Peninsula. This conversion can be done at various Zertec approved bodyshops across the UK. There is also a new version that has flush fitting Perspex covers.
