The MS2 looks good value too, I see V8 developments do a plug and play version almost. Seems to be a lot of online help for them too, I bet you could get a half decent map from someone to start you off.

Didn't Shaun used to be part of the V8D team?

Think he might have been.

He seems to work closely with them and Phil at ExtraEFI

sorry for the slight hijack but i will be doing a sc blower job on a 4.0ltr starting next week we are intercooling but running the 14cux with the upgraded chip supplied from sc will have it on the rollers at emerald to check everything out so may be of interest to folk.

Be good to hear how it runs, be nice if you report back as it may sway my decision in its favour.

Heres a few clips of my 400 Turbo, its a homebrew turbo kit running MS2 and a screamer pipe so is a bit noisier / flamey than most hehe

Obviously i would vote turbo as that is the way i went. As i did all the work myself it came in a lot cheaper than most and I do like the drama of it!

Ah, well, drove supercharged demonstrator Chimaera and honestly it did nothing for me. (I'm sure it suits some, just not me).
Drove Turbo, Phuck me, I'll have some of that!
SC, limited tuning wise (sure they are good for some)
TC, infinitely adjustable to suit your requirements.
really tried hard to stay off this topic
no vested interest here either

A turbo will just keep on making boost as the revs rise;-) but that's not an issue because you can change gear when it get's to much and start again. :-)

Out of interest what didnt do it for you?
Was it purely the lack of shove in the back and not enough grunt?

While I know this write up is probably a sales promotion, it might give you an idea?

Hi, it just wasn't for me having several turbo cars previously, I also knew I would just want more and the option of in car adjustable boost cloud9 Apologies really as the title is 'SC conversions' and I sought of strayed on. The SC cars are superb and I admire any well executed modification to these cars.

I would be interested to know what 'drive in drive out' costs are SC vs Turbo, if anyone could share?

Oh dear oh dear oh dear...........

Firstly, you're all cocking on about bhp..... great in the pub smile

Secondly, you don't seem to be talking about torque.... You do know what torque is? There's nothing to be ashamed of if you don't... I mean, you do know, that when you floor it from around 2k rpm it's the torque that spins up the rears, punches holes in your kidneys, and causes you to apply varying degrees of opposite lock....???

Anyway, apologies, for gate crashing....... Really......

Chilli.....

And beastie........ fastest naturally aspirated five litre RV8 powered TVR in the known universe..... it's like, quicker than the Millennium Falcon.... and that did the Kessel run in under 5 parsecs.... now that really is proper fecking quick...... me and beastie left it for dead.... really....

FI is for girls.............. it might make you look good in a straight line, but it won't make you go round corners any quicker wink

Now off to open another bottle biggrin

Its £5500 for the turbo kit, im not sure on the s/c kit as i dont see anyone offering this service. Im guessing it would be more expensive though if you factor in labour and new engine management.

Depends on where you are starting from.
Has your engine been tested? Is it strong? Compression low? Cam in good nick and not huge overlap?
Are you already running an aftermarket ECU? If yes to the above, then turbo is around £3,000 in stalled, plus bigger injectors if needed.
