Half shafts and cv thingies.
Discussion
Something to note.
If you reuse your existing shafts (or are going to store/sell them) make sure you mark which side of the car they came from and mark either the inboard or outboard ends.
In use they most likely twist with the torque applied to them. They are more likely to fail if they are refitted such that they are being twisted in the other direction.

How do you get my hand in to find which type ?
To find out which type you will need to remove the clip on one of the rubber gaiters so that it can be pulled back to expose the back of the CV joint. If you do this you will need to have ready a replacement clip and the tool required to fit it.However, if the CV has the steel backing seen in one of the earlier pictures then you can undo the 6 bolts holding the CV to the Diff. and pull back the steel shroud to expose the back of the CV.
