Height of seats
Discussion
How high do you want to go?
There are some suggestions *** here*** that will raise you 10-12mm.
This is an S series car but basically same seats although some/all Chimearas already have a lifting block at the front to angle the seat squab backwards.

I fitted full leather Recaros using converter frames I had made in Hungary of all places, these seats are from a Jag XJS and when mounted on the frames lift me considerably, which gives a much more commanding view of the road.
The XJS seats are way more comfortable, of OEM quality and trimmed in full leather, inexpensive to buy, look period 90's and correct in the Chimaera, and offer a huge improvement in support when pressing on in the twisties, they are a tight fit mind but do represent one of the best mods I've done to date.
I'm over 6' tall so no shorty, but I still benefited greatly from a lifted seating position, it felt a little odd at first but after just a few hours of driving with much much better visibility and support I was certain there was no way I would ever return to the low down slidy flat back originals.

How much higher would you say you went Dave
Personally I need to pad the seat base better, but would like to seat slightly higher anyway,it’s just how much you can get away with
Thinking of fabricating some bespoke runners to take existing seat fixing points

I used a 1m length of 1" square section ally tube from Wickes (available at B&Q too). Removed the seat, measured and cut the tube to fit sideways front and back, then drilled it to take the same size bolts. All fitted using high tensile bolts an inch longer than the originals. A simple and inexpensive way of doing it.
There is a thread by FieryFred showing this method. He also fitted square plastic bungs in the end to finish it off.
I only did the passenger side as the wife's a short arse but she can see over the parked wiper blade instead of looking through it.
