Hi all struggling to make decision, live in France have UK 1996 Chim on French plates I keep struggling to make decision to modify light to the of mk3 Chim, has anyone any thoughts if I do it will it make any difference when I come to sell it as it will not be as original interested to hear what others think should I do it or not

The way I looked at it when deciding for the mk3 on my year 1997 was that I was just refreshing the look to how the last ones came out the factory.
From the numerous threads I read it's seem's to me there is a high % that think it's a very good upgrade.
I then thought there will be more buyers who like this look rather than what has to be a very small market of people who are looking for a standard factory original car.
In other words if someone came to view mine and said "Oh I'm not having it because it's not original" Then I will tell him to politely jog on and go and find one then. biggrin

I have the Lupo lights, which I like, but I was concerned about originality when I bought it.

However, the item on classiccars4sale about the Chimaera (originally 2014 but revamped in 2017 with the same car shown) shows a car with such lights fitted. Faired in Mk3 ones would be even more acceptable since the 2001 + cars had it as standard:
