Some of those responses.. have to chuckle hehe

Anthony, you’re probably right that the Cerb wouldn’t see much use.. I just fancy the theatre. Mines too quiet and subtle laugh it’s the childhood dream car though.. difficult to justify! But that’s another story.

I’ll see most all of you boys at Rockingham and I’m looking forward to a good natter. I’m planning a decent campaign of trackdays this summer so we’ll see how that plays out and who knows I may get the love back!

Oh and Alun, I am definitely that guy who turns up with the worn road pads- Federals not Toyos though, I’m not made of money hehe

On the subject of ££ for % performance increase, I can 1000% tell you that the money is better spent on proper driver training, a well trainer driver with half the BHP will still wipe the floor with the untrained driver with double the power.

Good lap times are achieved by carrying speed into corners, for those that joined me for hot laps in the Caterham - yes its a quick car with a lot of grip, but being quick is being able to brake / steer and balance all the way into an apex and then transition and balance back to throttle. It's called trail braking - for anyone who wants to learn the art properly you 100% need a professional instructor (you can get the idea from this video )

Last Saturday at Rockingham I was test driving a Citreon C1 (with 68BHP) - and although it has a roll cage it was on standard road tyres, but I was stilling lapping lots of quick road cars with 5x more power.

So before you spend another £1000 for a 10bhp increase, think about spending that £1000 on driver instructions (I can recommend people)

^^^ 2nd that. Best money spent is on you, once you made the car track ready of course. I don't mean engine upgrades, but brakes / cage or whats needed to complete multiple laps repeatedly.

Yeah right! I vaguely remember it.
Lyrics are a bit pessimistic but insightful.

Looks like Mac before deciding to shave his head laugh

Or if he wore a wig now biggrin

We rock dude, we rock. Best bass player in the U.K.,,, Neal’s dad biggrin us three just cling on and enjoy the musical ride.
Got to hand it to em Ian, Macs a mean singer and Neals just the same, we’re on Brits got talent next month,,,
We’re only going and doing a gig,,, GlastenBeilly I think the festival is called,
Most musicians get drugged up, I’ll be on pain killers so about the same thing, should be a blast,,, actually it’s going to be great and I can’t wait.

We can’t think of a band name, I might put up a thread asking for Tvr related but amusing names.
It’s looking more like Macs first idea ages ago ‘Hard Shoulder’ biglaugh

We have a new musical director / conductor type bloke in the big band I am fortunate enough to play with and last night I was mister wrong note on the finale. He shrugged it off with a comment of every musician does it. Finally called a musician by someone... biggrin

Which do you play, Graham? Drums or trombone?

The Strugglers. I like that biggrin

Graham was that before or after he sacked you laugh

How lucky are you to be the lead trumpet player in a big band, why did I take up drums wink

For anyone who’s dabbled in the delights of musical theory and understood the complexity of playing any instrument it surely is a great gesture when someone thinks your a musician,,, what’s even more interesting is he obviously thinks you’ll get it right next time,,, no pressure or anything graham biggrin

A big band with horns and piano and guitars is a dream and a drummer in the middle of all those dynamics must surely have a heck of a time.

I’m not good enough for that sadly but maybe Mac will sharpen me up over time. yes
Then again he’s as delusional as I am, he thinks I’m good biggrin
Worse still I think him and Neal are diamond,,, thumbup
