Not the best day. Im sure there is a mid 12 in ot but we only got 3 runs each. Story of the day teally. Too many punters not enough track time.
Chris did a 12.9 late in the day.
1st run was just a shake down road tyres normal pressures. 2nd was some old tyres run aborted 3rd run was road tyres at 15psi his best.
My best 13.8 so for now you are safe.
However I wont go there again for 6 runs in an 11 hour period for £42.

In fact it was 3 runs in 11 hours for 42 each.
Both 12 to get in and 30 to run times.

Not much chance to get into the flow with what sounds like ages between runs.
How come your not on the leaderboard Frank!
Car sounded and looked very nice
So around 70-80 seconds track time for £42.
Suddenly makes the 25,200 seconds track time for £180, at Rockingham in two weeks time, with 60 other TVRs, seem like good value.
If anyone wants to come along there are still spaces left I believe, and after that people who have booked who cannot now make it, with spaces to sell.
And I am certain that there will be passenger rides for those who just fancy joining in the fun. Apparently passengers go free.

Both are good value when you consider you need safety people and organisers etc etc Suddenly makes the 25,200 seconds track time for £180, at Rockingham in two weeks time, with 60 other TVRs, seem like good value.

The trackday is very rare to be Tvr specific so I’m surprised it’s not sold out with such limited numbers. For those lucky enough to be going a special occasion to make friends and memories. Mostly it’s about noise I’d have thought as how many Cerb owners will go balls deep round there on probably their first trackday. Be good to hear those AJP screaming onto the banking though.
All I can say is if Frank had done the times he’d be happy Enough, it’s clearly not good if it’s over subscribed or badly run.
What’s the cost of an over night camp stop with trailer etc!
It’s not expensive at all to race
The mechanical cost might be though.
But that’s exactly the same risk on race tracks if your flat out for hrs.
This is just a sign of the times more than people don’t want to be apart of it I’d have thought and these cars ain’t getting any younger.
60 that’s a big number when you think about TVR reliability and about perfect to be able to get space between cars so you can all drive fast and safely.
Newcomers or just very proud Cerbera owners preferring to keep the car from stone chip hell can get their own space and enjoy it rather than get eaten up every few moments by over excited hatch drivers
Should be a great experience for all levels this way.
Like anyone else who can’t for whatever reason attend this brill event coming up it’s just easier to just let those that can get on and just watch from the sidelines, I’m sure there’s hundreds who’d jump at the chance if thay felt confident enough or could afford it.
There’s no cheap way to enjoy motorsport as a driver/ owner especially if it’s a Tiv you own
If I could only get Dom to sponsor me,,,, I’d be at every event going,,,,
Has Brummie signed up, last time I noticed his car was in bits I think.
He’s a driver worth paying to see alone, we do have some top talent in the gang that’s for sure let alone proper class cars, just look at Barry, that’s outrageous skill and power.
I am sorry to hear it was so busy and the fact people had to pay for the mini show event.
Losing Shakey has had a large effect. Hopefully we will get York Raceway back up and running next year. With a new track surface, pits, in road, new toilets etc etc then I hope many will make the effort and drive North. RWYB always get plenty runs in there. Some have over 20 runs in a day.
Well done to Barrie on his 11.06. I am a little surprised he ‘only’ got a 60 foot time of 1.67 on the new track, I suspect it wasn’t fully glued for a RWYB. Both Barrie and myself have run low 1.5’s at York. If the grip is there I expect Barrie to getting dangerously close to my 10.6

Thanks for the videos that's cool,
Had a good day although it was frustrating to only get three runs.
I think the main problem is the bikes they should have separate events!
My best time of the day was a 13.2 and I didn't get below 2 seconds 60ft, which I normally do.
I`ve decided to go for a bigger airflow meter and different injectors and get it remapped.
its been running rich for a long time, I will post my dyno curve and afr when I can find it.
or try a best guess chip from Frank ( Blaze away)
by the way did you find your torch?

its your choice but I would recommend that you look up Joolz at Kits and Classics. Lots of people on here, including me, are pleased with him (also the toughest customer in the Pistonheads TVR section!) and he has a variety of drive in/out optionsits been running rich for a long time, I will post my dyno curve and afr when I can find it.

He’s in Chesterfield, so a short schlepp up the M1 for you. Brilliant and not expensive. Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
