Brake light issues
Discussion
I have a brake light problem, simply put they stopped working. Now the fuse is fine as is the brake switch. We have 12v at the brake switch but not at the rear lights. The multimeter indicates there is a brake in this feed wire. Does anyone know where the junction box connection from the single feed wire to the two separate left/right brake lights is? Where they split into two. There is continuity between the two lights but not the between light and foot pedal wire. Which tells me there is a brake in the wire or junction box issue. Thanks guys!
A recent post on dead fuel pump probably has the same answer you are looking for.
There are a few connectors behind a panel in the near side B pillar. The panel is a hinged piece of carpet held in place with Velcro.
The join between door glass and roof can allow water to run down into the post and corrodes the connections. You may get away with simply unplugging and plugging in again but a good clean should be done and put Vaseline in the connections.
