Hi Guys

Spent the majority of the week end trying to find out where all of wiring fits in the car - and found the majority with no dramas.

However, Im at a loss with two specific wires - the below!

The ones on the left fit to the gear box - but at a loss with the ones on the right. I looked at the fuel pump - but they are not long enough (so where are fuel pump wires) or maybe to the Speed sensor on the Diff?? I have just replaced the sensor and it has the below fitting and cant seem to find something that fits

Any thoughts welcomed - im at the point where the body can be dropped back on the chassis once I have sorted these wires smile

The fuel pump cable should be Yellow and if not look for a Yellow/Black

Speed sensor should be Slate

Those Blacks will be negative earth return

Black/Yellow is often found to be an unfused ignition supply

Thanks Penelope

those wires are Black and Yellow/Black but there are just not long enough from where they enter under the body in centre console to reach the pump itself.

I didn't take the car apart - but im presuming the pump would of been connected prior to doing so.

Crossed posts, I was editing my original post when you replied

That cable looks like Black/Yellow to me, if Yellow is the dominant colour then you've found the fuel pump cables. Someone will be along shortly that knows more about the cable runs

Those will be handbrake switch (which you need to fix to the chassis before putting the body on) Black/yellow and a Black.

Speed sender should be grey (Slate) and Black but your new sender will most likely have a completely different connector which you will need to replace.

There we go!!!

Cheers Steve! yes makes sense now you've said it!

Do you know where the fuel pump connections enter? is this through the console also or an alternative?

I will have another look later this evening and try and locate the speedo sensor wire. Again -do you know where this should enter under the body?

Fuel pump wires go from the pump into the boot where they go into the same loom as the fuel gauge wires. There is a connector in the B piller but there is no reason to disconnect that taking the body off so it is probably still connected. From there they go to the relays in the passenger footwell. I am not sure where the immobiliser goes in, whether before or after the relays, but again, no reason why any of that will have been disturbed.

Speedo sender wires normally go through the top of the transmission tunnel but further back.
