Can anyone tell me where to buy 12mm fuel hose from to fit between the pump and tank of my Chimaera? I'd like to fit hoses meeting the SAEJ30 R9 spec but after spending a long time searching the net I can't find anyone selling the 12mm ID hose that I need. Thankyou in advance for any help. Paul.
Search for gates barricade, it’s probably the best there is. When I changed mine there was no need to remove the tank.

Thanks again Belle427 especially for the advice re. not having to remove the tank. I assumed I would have to in order to change the hose between the metal pipe which passes through the body and the tank - you've saved me a lot of work! Back to the hose, it seems the Gates part number for 12mm ID is "Gates 27306" but has to come from the States. The part shown on the TVR Parts Ltd site is the same as the PAS hose which I'm not sure is suitable for fuel injection.
I used the cohline hose which I read good things about.

Not a nice topic but it’s where I saw the cohline hose mentioned. Certainly one of those areas you want to buy the best you can no matter what it costs.

I've added a couple of notes from when I was fidding with my hose, the low pressure side of the pump that is.
After fitting the tank and to adjust the length of hose from the outlet to the solid humped back pipe over the suspension, nice one TVR, I found removing the pump to chassis mountings and moving the pump forwards made life easier than removing the tank again.
To seal the two holes, carbon cannister one as well, on the rear bulkhead I made a thin soft rubber cover which will be stuck in place with PolyAdhesiveSealant then a small bead of the stuff around the fuel pipe and split. Same as TVR did but neater in my opinion.
Maybe too late for you Paul but may be of use to others.

While we're doing this (again) has anyone got a link to the correct pipe that runs between the bulkhead and the engine?
My LP hose perished in about six years so I'm replacing the lot again.

Nice tip, sorry to criticise but Its beneficial to use the correct hose clamps instead of the jubilee type on fuel lines. After fitting the tank and to adjust the length of hose from the outlet to the solid humped back pipe over the suspension, nice one TVR, I found removing the pump to chassis mountings and moving the pump forwards made life easier than removing the tank again.

I think you will find worm drive clamps will be fine on the low pressure side of the pump but not on the high pressures side, I've used "2 eared clamps" and "band type clamps" from the pump etc.lancepar said:

Sorry didn’t mean to sound patronising.

I understood that and was not offended.
Always remember that you aren't just writing to the person to whom you are responding, but to a host of other numpties like me who are reading this, and for whom spelling out what kind of clamps should/should not be used on fuel hoses could be the difference between a running car and a ball of flame. Every little helps......avoid future cockups.[/quote
