First person to drive it will buy it if they have tested a few others!
Only just started prepping it Simon/Richard. It’s not even cleaned, cover been on it for 3 months but in a secure dry ish building. Wait til I’m done, it’ll be the car it looks, stunning.
It’s not exactly slow either is it. bks

That’s a good price Alun. Surprised it’s not at the front of the showroom or is it in reverse .
I was waiting for that Graham, I’m taking the piss,,, but not really!!!! Bloody cost 30 and if I’m honest from polished bespoke poxy oil caps to everything else you’d want done 35??? I’ve added it up but that includes 40,000 miles of driving over what 8 or 9 years is it? My mate wants me to do a write up, I keep balking,, don’t want it advertised as that’s that then as Simon put it!
It’s such a nice car to drive which is what really gets me, I succeeded in my dream of what I believe a useable sportscar is. But hey no point looking back mate.
Anyway I took your advice and been playing with some musicians, st hot and it’s just amazing
Anyway forget the Tvr don’t you wanna talk about the MGB racecar or the Ferrari

Glad to hear you are enjoying playing with others though you do have the responsibility of setting the beat!
Fortunately I have made a lot more rehearsals this year. We have too many Sax players at the movement and I am nearer the back of the queue when it comes to ability but Really enjoying it! The set list is so varied for the next concert. A collection Madness, Adel, Tom Jones, Glenn Miller, ABBA and something that a Mr Bieber is credited with - Despacito...

Re the Ferrari, Classic Car magazine put me in a 308 for a day and I had the chance to drive it back to back to my Chim. The TVR was better in all aspects apart from presence on the road, assuming you like the look of them.

The irony of it, I’ve been out following the Ferrari just in case it broke down The TVR was better in all aspects apart from presence on the road, assuming you like the look of them.
You’ll notice it’s actually a 208
The MG on the other hand is a fully blown FIA International spec racecar built from scratch with an engine that cost over 10 grand and produces nearly 190bhp.
Yes guys it looks like my Tvr experience/ dream could be coming to an end!
Hits home when I nick a price tag off another car and place it on mine

One thing that feels really nice, those motors are fairly mint all of them, and mine looks bogs dangles good amongst them
One very proud owner

Alun if I had the required folding I would have your car in a heartbeat, having seen it numerous times in the metal/fibreglass, it really is an absolute peach.Instead, I will likely spend the next 10 years (and similar money to what you have spent) attempting to get mine up to a similar standard, on the basis that it never seems as expensive doing a bit here and a bit there...
Only thing I would have to change on yours is the wheels
What's going to replace it?

Also forgot to mention, £20k gets you a nice Chianti Starmist 5.3 if anyone wants to get in touch or see the TVR for sale group on face ache ??
Another, Noooooo! It was always going to be a matter of time.
I have often wavered in the last six months and thought about a change but just look what is available with the following criteria:
Up to £25K ish
V8
Light
Manual
Presence
Very fast
Handles well
Great soundtrack
Convertible or coupe
Look at all the cars in auto trader and pretty much the only cars that come up are Chimaeras and the odd Griff.
Sad really. It just goes to show how all the individual makes and models have disappeared over the years and what we are left with generally is what the big boys want us to have. Individualism has pretty much gone out the window!
On the other hand, I appreciate Grahams direction. He drives a Boxster as his daily and no doubt enjoys his journeys more than most people. Good on you Graham!
Maybe that is why I do most of my driving in my oldest car, an early MK1 Octávia vRS.
Remapped to 220 bhp, fast, devours country lanes, super reliable, 32mpg and cost me £950.
Back on topic. I hope a few things come your way Alan and you can put the sale of your baby on hold.
Sometimes life just deals a few bad blows that hopefully we can deal with.

I sold my 450 two weeks ago, local enough buyer for me to see it regularly of a weekend but won't stop me missing it once the sun comes out.
Drove the new AMG toy to a PPF specialist today and buggar me they had a stupidly stunning T350 coupe with only 9,000 miles on the clock in a fully polished Cherry Red that is drop dead gorgeous...............coming soon to my local TVR specialist so will drop by to check the price

Just my 2 pence. I’m exporting my Chimaera back to New Zealand. Talking to the exporter when I replied to what type of car I would be exporting he said “oh another one” Apparently they have had a recent run on TVRs leaving the country in the past week to such places as Canada, South Africa, and New Zealand Its only a few at a time I’m sure but over the next few years if demand increases it will have some sort of an impact on prices here. It also points to a possible demand for TVRs in other countries that never had the chance to buy them new.

Did the OP get himself a Chimaera in the end??
Hi All,Long story short I realised I couldn't afford a TVR just yet. I had a max budget of £8k in the end and from the cars I viewed in that price range I didn't dare take the plunge and buy a potential money pit.
I then stopped looking as I was gutted the dream was over. For now anyway.
I've read over all posts posted since I was last on and they have been an interesting read!
The reason for coming back on here is that I was delivering some MDF to a customer and heard the telltale sound of that Rover V8 firing up behind me. I walked around the wagon and lo and behold there was a blue Chimaera roaring down the road. Just can't beat that sound.
I think I will own one at some point but only when I have 12-14k for a half decent one.
And it has to be red or yellow.

Sorry the original sale fell through Ian. I know John was pretty sad too. That T350 sounds VERY nice! If you drop by to see it..... well, game over! I know the Merc is a very capable machine but I do hope the T350 appeals. I'll be round for a look-see pretty quiclkly.
