I didn't actually say it like that steve .. what I said was I'm a little fella and I'd hate to have to catch etc etc .. of course it's perfectly possible to catch any slide if you're sufficently strong and quick and gifted .. but PAS makes mere mortals like me feel like heroes. had 4th gear slides in jon's tuscan at bedford but his car is great at that and the fast light steering is the main reason why rather than me suddenly becoming a much better driver in his car teehee.

Having bought a non PAS Chimaera after a wedge the steering felt great, it's only after a few months that you realise how heavy it is and how slow you have to go to get round tight corners. There are no kits available to retro fit PAS to the Non Serp cars.

Interestingly Matt, I was getting straight out of my S3c into the Griff's and Chimaeras I was trying, both my wife (who is 5'4") and I prefered the non-PAS cars and my S felt heavier in contrast. I guess it is all down to personal preference and specific cars. Can't beat testing them yourself to form an opinion eh? Rich...

Wierd.. my S was signinficantly lighter than the Chim.. partly as its only got 195's on it I would imagine..?

Cheers
Matt

Good point M@t (hope your enjoying thim Chim BTW), I'm only running 205/50's up front & I think the difference in weight even compared to 225's is quite large...

No you didn't say it full stop. I do agree with your comments though. Being small and lightweight does improve the Power to weight ratio tremendously though. I have to resort to throwing things out of the car to get the weight down...
