These things happen occasionally.

I have had my monos since before they came out as they were preproduction so at least eight or nine years, possibly more. They have been serviced a couple times but I’ve never had any problem with them.

Conversely, I had a brand-new set of nitrous nitrons and they were knocking from the word go. They did repair them, just saying.
Fixed that for you Peter. Unless you have something new to tell us about your ongoing overhaul??? wink

Readjusted to 12-off fully soft, fitted it and the knocking has gone. No more banging when pushing down on the front of the car and no more knocking when going over bumpy roads. Literally only drove it 1km round the block but no hint of any knocking so far.
How many clicks do you have the rears set at?

I'm still playing around with the recently fitted ones on mine. 12 on the fronts was far too stiff for the roads around where I live (South Devon) which are potholed to buggery, so I'm on 8 at the mo., with 4 on the rears. I need to get some miles on the car to experiment further though.

I'm running 12 clicks off fully soft at the front, 11 off on the back at the moment. Live in South London (Sutton commuting to South Croydon). Roads round here are terrible but having had a VX220, this car rides very comfortably. Just have to swerve a lot to avoid potholes!

Road settings on my Monos on 400/450 springs.

Fully off on the rear
Plus 3-4 clicks from soft on the front.

Track if nice and smooth.

4-6 clicks from fully hard on the rear
Fully hard on the front
