I'm getting a lambda 1 & AfrB fault light.

The lambda1 is stuck at 1.8, presumably volts. Safe to assume it's fried and would it make sense t would throw AfrB off?

For RS-AJP

FYI:
Lamba1 on odd bank
Afrb is on the even bank

In General:
For the V8
Any ecu values that have a '1' or 'a' suffix correspond to the odd bank
Any ecu values that have a '2' or 'b' suffix correspond to the even bank

For the S6
Any ecu values that have a '1' or 'a' suffix correspond to the pistons 123
Any ecu values that have a '2' or 'b' suffix correspond to the pistons 456

One bank running rich, one bank running pretty much spot on (slightly lean).

The bank running supposedly spot on is the one with the lambda fault.

Thanks gents.

I'm trying to find the lambdas to switch over the connectors to see if the fault switches to the other bank. Know its a nunpty question but darned if I can find them!

The plugs are usually near the starter motor bell housing area White and round.

The connectors will be sitting on top of the gearbox or the clutch bell-housing, where the two meet

(didn't see Peter's earlier reply)

On my car the PO has marked the Blue wired connector with E and the Yellow wired with O

The factory fitted yellow sheaths have all lost their markings

Luckily the odd lambda is the easier of the two to change. I have just replaced my even one.which was a pig to remove.

I have been studying the wiring diagrams but can't find the colour coding confirmed anywhere

https://tvr-ig-sued.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/...

Reason I'm checking is because I seem to have connected them the wrong way round this time

This has resulted in one of the cats becoming extremely hot and causing a lot of damage to the heat shielding

No MIL warning though

I'll post a pic later

I have no real engineering experience (other than the TVR jobs i have tackled so far), but I would disconnect the ECU plug and one of the lambdas, run a jump wire from one lambda terminal to ground and then check for continuity to ground back at the ECU connector, against the wiring diagram.

I did replace my near side lambda, wasn’t all that hard once I was able to get the car up in the air - BUT I removed my CATS long ago, and if I remember correctly, I removed the centre section of the exhaust to make access easier.
