In his first post he said Norfolk and in a subsequent post he said 150 mile round trip, so I think you may be a bit out of range.

Kind offer though.

How much work is involved in cutting one open to sleeve it? May fancy doing that myself.

Please don't they make a god awful harsh noise when sleeved.
If you want louder but pleasant then fit cherry bombs.

Hi Duncan, I think the sleeved sounds different depending on if you have decatted or not. Other options to change the noise include removing some of the padding in the silencer and partially sleeving.

The ACT cherry bomb system does sound good and is well made but costs a bit more than opening a silencer! It is why I have a spare exhaust as I put a act set up on my last car.

The exchaust is at Peters (Phazed) house in working if you are interested. It’s easy to move if you have roof bars.

I have a friend who sleeved his and it did sound nice but as it is a precat I don’t want to spoil that sound. A bit in two minds.

Hi Duncan, the exhaust is off a 93 car but a Chimaera, Not a Griffith. Are they the same systems?

I am still a bit in two minds about whether I want it louder or not.

Tv8 thanks for your offer, I will bear this in mind but as I am not in a hurry I will wait to see what turns up (if anything). I live in Norfolk. My current exhaust is fine but I want to try and put my own cherry bombs into an exhaust and I didn't want to practice on my current one just in case it doesn't come out well and then I would desperately be hunting round for another one. Likewise m.o.t rules are getting more stringent and I didn't want complications from the tester saying it wasn't a standard exhaust so I would have my original to put back on. If I bought universal cherry bombs I would guess that would be around £50-£100, cost of exhaust £150 and then courier costs on top so I would be looking at over £300, so I'll wait to see what comes up, might be lucky and get one already with cherry bombs.
