The nearside light pod on our 88' 350i rests about 3/4" to low ...when down. I had a look in the bible., and if im reading things correctly.it says to adjust the pod in the down position move the angle bracket with the rubber hose attached . I tried this earlier .. I moved the bracket from one end of the slots to the other and at no point does it come into contact with the light pod. So how can this adjust the height ?

cheers martin

Does the pod lift to the same height as the other one? A pod going down too far is often caused by the arm that attaches to the motor spindle being in the wrong position

Hi Martin

There is an angled bracket under the pod on the floor pan..there is a bump stop on the under edge of the pod itself also..When closed it rests on the floor one and when up the one under the pod stops it lifting too high ...if that makes sense

Many thanks for the replies. I removed the angle bracket this morning.. as you mentioned Mark, the pod should rest on the attached piece of rubber hose ,when lowered. The rubber hose on my bracket had partly broken off...so when the pod hit the rubber it bent it flat rather than resting against it ….Rock n Roll.....another job jobbed... I should have bought a lottery ticket.

Cheers
