Which way round do heater pipes go?
Discussion
I am not sure whether a Griff and Chim are different in this respect, but on the basis that they are the same....
The two heater pipes come out of the V at the back of the engine. There is then a pair of flexible pipes that run into near side footwell where the heater is located. I don't think it makes any difference which way round the pipes are connected to the heater matrix.
These heater pipes were not included in my silicon hose kit.

The hose that goes through the inner wing nearer to the front of the car connects to the topmost steel pipe on the plenum assembly.
I know this because I labelled them when I took the engine out.
Although in reality, I doubt that it makes much difference.
