chim radio panel switches
Discussion
If you are taking about an early chim radio panel with the three lighting push buttons on the RHS, then I used heavy duty double sided carpet tape.
If both surfaces are clean and you apply some pressure it makes an instant strong bond. I carefully and lightly pressed the bracket/tape/panel together in a vice (protecting the veneer of course).

I used 2 part epoxy resin (mix together) on mine . Poundland stuff over 18 months ago & still holding, mind you, I rarely drive the Chimaera in the dark!
The tricky bit I found was gluing in the brackets just high enough for the switch panel to be a tight fit (so it doesn't rattle) but not too tight to risk prising the glue off again when you refit the light panel and buttons.
