I trimmed mine. Piece of cake really.......arches were about three times as thick.

That looks really good Lewis!
Thanks Peter thumbup

Yes I will probably end up having to trim my inner arches as well, although I think it will have to wait until spring as I am running out of time before I leave the country over the winter again. I am tempted by the Central TVR Mk3 headlight conversion so may get them to trim the arches at the same time ...

I've just realised I am away that weekend for my dad's birthday grumpy

My diff finally got finished and back to me yesterday, so I've been putting the car back together since.

The Hoosiers fit (just) although the body is slightly off centre so I think the left will rub on the top of the arch at launch. Definitely pushing my luck with tyre sizes hehe

Exhaust back on tomorrow and I can see what the new 3.08 feels like

Rear arch clearance

Chassis clearance

Even an ER100 or maybe 125 lurking, very very cool indeed.

I fear a burn out will expand those tyres and they will rub.

MT’s were about 10 mm off rear arches cold, scuffed like hell when doing a run, slowed me down frown

On a similar theme my girlfriend has just done her CBT and wanted to go on an adventure, so last week we went on holiday to the Lake District (from Hertfordshire)

The ride back was quite an effort, 280 miles, 9 hours and no motorways because she is on L plates hehe The ride up was a bit easier as we stopped the night in York.

I am on the Royal Enfield 500 and she has a 1995 Yamaha SR125. Not the fastest pair!

When running the M/T's I raise the suspension up by 1" seems to sort things out.

My wife passed her test years ago and bought a Honda CB 500.

It was really nice to go out for rides occasionally, I used to take one of the children on the back.

I must've done hundreds of thousands of miles on bikes, (road, trail, trials, enduro etc) over over a lifetime of motorcycling and apart from a minor accident when I was 16, never come to grief, even with most of it up central London!

By comparison, watching a late starter on a bike who was never going to be a natural always left me aware of how vulnerable most motor cyclists are. Just be careful.

that's a pity, can he not change it to another weekend?
Or maybe he could celebrate at the pod with the rest of us smile

Centreparcs is booked apparently so no chance of sneaking away, I will be out in October though so will have to go on my own and post up times :grumpy :

Peter, I'd really appreciate a nose over your PAS system if that's possible, assuming I can make it? I'm probably going down the Subaru route this winter.

It’s gonna be tight as a drum. I’d run it in and change Dif oil before attempting to race cars capable of a 12.6 if I were you, takes commitment rofl

Good luck smile

Looks like I will be going down on the 5th or 12th October (weather dependent) so you will have to wait until then for my times unfortunately grumpy

Great to see everyone is putting the effort into getting their cars fighting fit.

I have been given a place in the 'North' team at a drag race shootout at Sywell aerodrome for 'Pistons and Props' weekend on 21st/22nd.
2 teams of 8 racers from York and North Weald of old!

Hopefully I will survive the weekend but will be turning the wick up. Be great to see you guys come along for a little support if you can.
Looks to be a great weekend. Its not far from the pod, about 12 miles NW I think.
