Would racing slicks on the rear work well enough for the odd Drag Race event?
Better than road tyres?

Debateable whether they would be much better but worth a try if you have some old ones to try.Right.... Got ya..

Dedicated drag radials are best but don't come cheap but I usually have a spare pair of worn ones you are free to try if I am there.

I would take you up on lending some drag wheels and tyres when we meet again. Assuming they are 4 Stud? Thanks
it will also be interesting to see if the wheel arch clearance is sufficient being a Griff and obviously how they improve my times

Shame I couldn’t make Saturday in the end, reasons were out of my control!
Out of interest I achieved a 12.07 with old road tyres from memory.
This improved to an 11.83 with some secondhand drag radials.
I will say that I’m sympathetic with my gear changes and I’m sure Derek could improve on that!

Last time I tried to drag your car I think I cooked the clutch attempting a burnout, sorry again for that.
