Replacement rear plastic screen, Surrey area?
Discussion
Mine needs replacing because it’s so opaque. Tried various polishes with no success. Toothpaste made it worse.
Anyone know of a place that can replace the rear window in the Surrey area?
Before anyone says “Car Hoods Warehouse in Chessington”, I’ve just had this reply from them...

Thank you for your enquiry.
Unfortunately we do not offer window replacements or tops for TVR's, sorry we couldn't help on this occasion.
Looks like they don’t do TVRs any more. Unfortunately we do not offer window replacements or tops for TVR's, sorry we couldn't help on this occasion.
Cass Brothers Bromley Kent.
Soft Tops
We are soft top specialists.
The convertible has also made an amazing come back over the past 25 years, but of course has been around since the motor car was first developed.
Cass Bros can provide a supply only, or supply and fit of patterned ready-made hoods for the majority of modern and classic convertibles on the road today. Original quality parts are also made to order.
For the vintage or converted vehicle, for which no patterned parts are available, Cass Bros can tailor-make a soft top to your particular vehicle in the three main types of hooding available: mohair, double-duck canvas or everflex vinyl. Colour would of course be to your choice.
For the majority of soft-tops with a clear plastic soft window, there is no need to replace the entire hood when the window is damaged! We are able to install a new plastic window into the existing soft top to all but a few of the convertibles on the road today.

A bit of a drive from Surry, but not in-doable.
Try Monsoon at Hailsham. I used them several times over the years and always been happy with the results.
Bit upset at Monsoon they seem to have updated the web site and my Griff no longer "stars" on their opening page anymoreTry Monsoon at Hailsham. I used them several times over the years and always been happy with the results.

Another thumbs up for Monsoon. They replaced my rear window a few years back. They did it while I waited, so I took my laptop, hooked up to their WiFi and did some work. From memory I dropped the car off first thing and was driving away again early afternoon. They achieved a nice fit too.Try Monsoon at Hailsham. The above surprises me and is highly annoying.
I live a stones throw from Monsoon and have used them half a dozen times over the last 20 years. I just had in mind I would be getting a new roof for the Griff from them next year. Now, apparently not. I will still ask them of course, but...

What with that and the fact that the Car Hood Warehouse (who replaced my complete roof two years ago) relocated from Chessington to Sevenoakes and now no longer manufacure TVR tops, as they no longer have sewing machines or machinists (and I quote from an email from them back in the summer - which I found equally surprising) options in the area have become a lot more limited.
Vamped looks like a good bet so far but as yet, I've seen no feedback.
Not used Vamped myself but have heard good things from mates who have.

Very interested in the results. My cat has just very kindly removed my rear window for me.
I was upside-down in the footwell changing the throttle cable at the time. I couldn't extract myself fast enough. Yelling No! No! No! I probably looked like I was having a seizure in a small pipe.
Ah, cats.
