I stopped posting on PH because it stopped being fun, stopped being just a bit of craic amongst fellow PH's, instead it became about being flamed and questioned on intent (Voisin in point!) which kinda spoiled the fun; I hope, that on this, the original, PH Forum, you'll allow me some latitude...

Background..

I grew up in the North East and many years ago, when I was a young aspiring wannabee, I found myself coming out of meeting in Hanover Square, Central London and sitting in a black cab.

A hot summers afternoon and a white 350i DHC pulled alongside; everything personified in my imagination as to how life in London and my impressionable, future should be.

The ubiquitous, pretty brunette, in the passenger seat, the 350 convertible barking and the sun shining.

The lights went green, throttle gunned and off he went with a sonorous gulp and a crackle on the overrun as he showed off to the world.

I can never remember what the driver was like.... the passenger and the 350i..well yes.... forever burned in my brain! lol!

Years later and passing a BMW dealership in Huntingdon, I glanced across to see, my own 350i DHC, C89 ULL, sat in the evening sun, and it had my name on it!

A few years later and the arrival of my young son meant that my own pretty brunette could no longer drive the 350 and we(I!) traded for a Sapphire Cossie where the pram and car seat were more accommodating- (what a fantastic car!)

Several fancy cars later with a few Jags thrown in and I often wonder what became of C89 ULL, but a dust off from the attic elicits these old brochures.

Pretty sure that some came from the Barnet Motor Co in Arkley who were TVR dealers at the the time. My "prize" being a photo/brochure of C98 ULL, a 420 that I could never afford.

I'd like to give them to someone who can share in my dream. Drop me line and if they've got your name on them, like my own 350 DHC,, they're yours, for free.

Best

They're worth a few quid on eBay. Hope you don't donate them for somebody else to sell.

Nice one

Hi Michael, I'd would be very interested in having the brochures if they are still available. I have tried private messaging you but it said you didn't accept messages. Likewise I'm a PH fan and my Wedge enthusiasm came from the PH Wedge forum interaction. It is a shame that many don't frequent the site anymore, however I have decided to keep my SEAC rebuild thread on the PH forum rather than sharing on other social media sites. Currently I run a 390SE plus I've a new SEAC project.

Let me know if the brochures are available and more than happy to send some beer tokens to cover postage etc. Cheers Keith

PS I wouldn't want them to sell but to keep with the Wedges.

Gosh what a generous offer!

One thing i'd like for the new owner to consider, if possible, would be to scan and digitise some of the manuals. I'd love to read over them but the only way I can get hold of them is to buy them on ebay one by one and ship them over.

Hi Kelvin, more than happy to oblige when I receive them. Cheers Keith
