Windscreen wiper tubing
Discussion
Adrian,
It's just a cut to size length of standard diameter piping used for automotive wash/wipe systems - get some from Halfords - If you're lucky it will be a push fit - but judicious use of super glue will keep it in place.
Make sure you route it carefully, as get it wrong and the wiper arm pulls it out of the bulkhead when you use the wipers.....at least it did on my Griff until I glued them to the arms themselves!!!
Andy.

quote:I couldn't find any black tubing in Halfords when I checked. I do think it should have lasted longer than 7 months though. If you're 1 1/2 hours away from your nearest dealer, either use it as an excuse to go for a run , or just get them to pop you some in the post (they will cut it to whatever length you want). Dunno about silicone tubing being any better.
Thanks all,
I shall try halfords first. The whole lot (wipers, tubing etc) was only replaced back in Feb !
Would silicone tubing be better than rubber ?
Call up one of the specialists or someone like www.tvrgear.com and they'll post you some. You only need about 30cms in all. They have it by the roll. Cost is negligable and it will look right.
