The other morning I got 5 or 6 high pitched bleeps from around the ignition area while driving. I thought it could have been something on the radio but got it again 5 minutes later and switched the radio off only to hear the bleeps continue. I got it again today. Had the car 22 months and never heard it before.

Anybody else had this or know what it might be?

The immobilser system has a veritable arsenal of assorted flashes to tell you whether the car has been tampered with, how tall they were, what size shoes they had etc. Perhaps yours has an audible version of this?

So, somebody about 5 or 6 feet tall has been in my car, or they had size 5 or 6 shoes??

The car had been running a good 20 minutes before the bleeps started, so I suspect nothing to do with the imobiliser. May have been the radio and turning it off made no difference? I'm intrigued.

I had the same on my chim shortly after I got it. Actually it was around a week later that I even bothered to turn on the radio - I was too engrossed in the v8 sound before then. Then I got this 4 beeps. I figured it was something to do with not being tuned to a station with Traffic Announcements facility while having the TA facility active. Happened each time I turned the radio on. Never properly figured out what the hell it was all about and the radio manual was absent from the car when I got it. Seemed to stop after I fiddled around with the buttons - pretty randomly I'm afraid so I can't pass on the secret.
