It may have not been leaking before, but odds on it will in the future.
For the sake of £10 and the ease of access you now have it will be worth it.
Once the body is back on its a pain in the a#se to remove the steering rack.
I would suggest if you don't have one making a little dust cover to fit over the pinion, this helps to protect the seal.

How are you enjoying the last bit of the build as I remember lots of grovelling underneath so good luck with that with no lift.

Got to put the std plenum on for braking the cam in
