Just a little thought while you have the chassis as is, why don't you renew the pinion oil seal on the rack.

It may have not been leaking before, but odds on it will in the future.

For the sake of £10 and the ease of access you now have it will be worth it.

Once the body is back on its a pain in the a#se to remove the steering rack.

I would suggest if you don't have one making a little dust cover to fit over the pinion, this helps to protect the seal.
Where do you get them from?

Nice work. When are you aiming for the body fit?

I would treat it to a new set of Rainsports while it's all new and shiny...
Thanks Peter

Hopefully next weekend but going on my jolly’s next week

My body won’t go on with front anti roll bar attached. You might want to keep those bolts hand tight until you know for sure.
Looking very good that Pete thumbup
They are finger tight just to put drop links on
I will pull the clamps off before the body goes on

35mm from battery to starter
35mm from starter to 100a fuse
35mm from fuse to Alternator

Negative
35mm battery to chassis
35mm battery to block (alternator mount)

If I have any cable left I will bin the sty bit from battery to 80a fuse

Nice job. It’s gonna run no sweat after this lot.
How are you enjoying the last bit of the build as I remember lots of grovelling underneath so good luck with that with no lift.
I enjoyed putting the engine bay back together the most I think.

She’s a top car now no question thumbup
It’s going ok

Engine bay will be back together by the weekend
Got to put the std plenum on for braking the cam in

Looking good Peter.

I’m sure it will be nothing like the Morecambe and Wise sketch, “all the right notes, (parts) but not necessarily in the right order! “
Time will tell
