Following our Equatorial downpour at the weekend I had a small puddle in the passenger footwell - any clues where the water might be getting in ?

Car stationary or moving???
Stationary:
>Look at the wiper motor 'box' under the dash.
>water running over the door seals - have they got a couple of pinches in them (should have)?
>door glass correctly adjusted for a good fit?
>If the car was pointing downhill it could be running from the back (hood?)
Car moving:
Add battery box & seat mounting bolts to the list.

It actually only happened once when the car was on 4 axle stands, the fronts being higher than the rears when I had the starter motor off
But I do get a bit of a leak into the passenger side behind the seat due to the roof seals

Thanks for the suggestions. It leaks stationary parked on the drive. Definitely not from the door or roof, the water was under the dash on the rubber of the carpet. It appears to have dripped off the piework running under the dash. Where it got in had me puzzled though, but it is on a slightly uphill gradient, so perhaps the wiper motor box will be worht investigating. I will be out with my black B&Q silicone at the weekend, but today it was sunny and the drive to work cured all concerns of leaks in the rain !!!!!

That pipework runs to the the heater matrix. Are you sure it was rainwater (try to taste a bit of it).
I'd start the car up, turn the heater to fully hot & check for leaks if I were you - water/antifreeze will wreck your interior quicktime.
