So I'm still exploring and learning (trying to) the chim.
I found this black plug tucked up under the dash above the battery. It looks like a socket for a car charger but I wanted to ask her before trying that. Any ideas, am I correct?

Thanks all.

Looks like it to me as it seems to be similar to a cigarette lighter socket?
Follow the cable see where it connects, should be battery positive and negative if it’s for charging.

Hi, I agree, lighter socket for charging. Although why it is needed in addition to the normal cigarette lighter socket is a mystery.

If you want to trickle charge direct to the battery (not via lighter socket) I would replace with a more modern socket. Most trickle chargers come with a selection.

Have fun.

Maybe someone fitted it for a satnav as it is a bit of a pain to have the cable plugged into the door.

Mine has one of those, the previous owner fitted it for a battery conditioner to connect to.

Thanks all, I'll have a closer look and try and follow the wires / try a charger.
