Have now tested the temp sensors, they do read a little different. Can anyone tell me what the correct reading should be, on my multimeter?

Also, what should the fueld rail pressure be when running?

Thanks for your help guys.

To me it sounds like it’s flooding, especially if it’s trying to fire.

Have you tried putting your foot flat to the floor on the throttle, and then crank for a long time?

Is there a strong smell of fuel?

I’d be replacing the ECU temperature sensor. It’s a cheap and easy part to replace, and could be giving exactly these symptoms if it’s telling the ECU the engine is colder than it really is. The sensors do fail.

I have already installed a new one, the values are the same as the old one, so should be ok.
