I've got 17's fitted to my Chim with 45 profile tyres, how low can I go sensibly without ruining ride or rubbing arches. Can I just change springs or need shocks aswell and who does them? Advice please.
Cheers Al.

I guess it was only a matter of time before Chimaeras started being affordable for the Maxy P brigade eh?

I think you can just replace the shocks with adjustable ones and when you install them wind the height adjusters 'down' a little. I wouldn't want to lower the car much though - stiffer springs may help prevent the rear archs from fouling, but you'll bounce off the road into a ditch first!

Also, do you have many speed bumps in your area? The sump is easily caught and you can catch just the plug and loosen it ... it then drops out a few miles further on ... say no more ... your mates will call you Slick.

Cheers mate, could always get hydraulics to solve the speed bump problem, oh and some neons ha-ha.
Don't want to srape the ground just slightly lower especially at the front.
and I want a Pistonheads neon in the rear window, which will have badly fitted black film and a Cosworth rear spoiler and 860000 watt stereo with 13 screens and 11 cameras and ....
