Perhaps Ted could invent a "TVR Technical" section which could include routine maintenance tips, photos etc.Im sure it would be very popular.
how about it Ted?

At the back of my mind I do have some ideas that need refining regarding a knowledge base/parts guide/tips section. Other things on the list first, but it is something I want to do. It is unlikely to ever create an alternative to Steve's excellent books but could nevertheless be a useful resource. Anyway... that's futures. Back to now
If anybody else is like me and want to do alot of the work yourself or take that tinkering a bit further , surely somebody like "Steve Heath" can come up with a more detailed Haynes like workshop manual with questions beginning with how to change ........... or how to remove ............, It's got to be a best seller and make someone a lot of money.
As regards Rover V8 engines Bentleys (BentleyPublishers.com) do an excellent workshop manual
--worth ordering--but it is oriented to Range Rovers so if your central locking goes wrong it's of no help. I have never seen a workshop manual which gives all this sort of information for TVR's--I suppose the mechanics just pick it up as they go along.
You are right there isn't anything which is why putting these books together is a huge labour of love as there is nothing to start with. While you can use stuff from other cars, the problem is that they are often wrong.
The new version does have all of the how do you do this stuff which is why it is so big. It does take an awful lot of time and research to collate and check this information which is why the second edition has been later than I had expected. I started it in mid 2000 and it has taken 18 months to do the research and work.

PS it looks like a Chimaera on the front cover...

are you going to a book based on the tamora and tuscan in the near future as well. the reason being the wife wants a tamora next.
Nothing planned. The main problem is what can you do on these cars except take them back to the dealer... The factory also don't want to encourage peolpe fronm fiddling with them either.
