Whilst messing around to stop my meta-alarm doubling as a rain detector (see previous post) I found a couple of wired up terminal blocks in the front valance between the alarm siren and the left hand indicator.

Doesn’t look like they’ve ever been connected up - anyone know what they do??

Block 1 has two connections - wires are (1) black and (2) yellow / red

Block 2 has 6 connections:

Not connected -- -- white / black
Black -- -- -- -- -- white / pink
Not connected -- -- light green / pink

Checked Steve’s book but the wring diagram / colour code isn’t any help (NB: It is for a Griff)- although black is obviously earth.

My only thoughts are could be remote window / boot release for an alarm having such features.

Would be very grateful for anyone’s input!

Every car I've ever had - Ford, Jag, Merc, BMW - has had unused connectors dangling about in the engine bay. So as long as everything works, I wouldn't worry about it!

Hi Jev, I replied to this on my post about my meta alarm problem, but here's my reply anyway..."maybe the Chimaera shares the same basic loom as the Griff but doesn't have the extra front lights???? "
