I had an intermittent power drain on my car. Not sure this will aply to you as my car was frigged around with quite a lot before I had it, but it related to the heated mirrors which on my '94 4.0 switch on when the door is opened and seem to rely on a relay under the dash to switch them off.

Wing mirrors heat up on starting the engine and switch off after a time delay.

Had a similar problem battery ok one day wont turn the motor the following day.

Dealer fitted new battery in May, used the car weekly in the best of the summer. But same problem late September, alarm all over the shop, flashers staying on on offside when setting the alarm, central locking clicking but not setting. New battery and an accumate charger fitted and plugged in all the time looks to have solved the problem I hope
