i am guessing it could be the fuel pump, since i don't hear anything when i turn the ignition on, however, this said i don't ever remember hearing anything when i turned the ignition on!!!
So, if anyone has any advice for me i would much appreciate it because as it is my first tvr i don't really know what to look for, i mean, if it is the fuel pump, would it turn over and not fire in the same way it does with the immobiliser on?
i would appreciate your observations, thnask!
Could well be that your pump is now knackered. If you get somebody to turn the ignition on while you listen by the rear near-side wheel, you should hear the pump working for a few seconds each time the ignition is switched on. If you hear this, it shows the pump is being powered suggesting that the problem may be within the pump itself. If you don't hear it, you're into electrical trouble shooting mode and my favorite suspects would be the terminals on the pump, and the fuel pump relay.
Incidentally, if you change the pump get them to change the pre-filter in the tank, if it has sucked in dirt it can get clogged causing enough pressure drop to cavitate the pump, and leading to repeated pump failure.
Hope this helps,

the car has been okay since, though what doesn't really make sense to me is that it was fine until it ran out of juice, and when it did run out, the fuel pump wires decided to come loose as well... is this just bad luck or are trevor cars prone to this sort of phenomenon?
You were luckly that a wire came off, what can happen is that when the pump runs out of fule the motor spins too fast (no fule to pump so no restance) and the motor can burn out!!!
This is how TVR explaind my pump failing to me.

This happened to me yesterday. Just got the car back from having it's engine rebuilt, stopped at some services and it refused to start. After some fiddling around, I noticed the king lead had fallen off.
When you put it on, the seal from the rubber cap can be so good that the air cannot escape and the pressurised air pushes the plug back off. As recommended by Ray @ V8Developments, if you push it back on while lifting the side of the cap with a screwdriver, the air seal actually stops it falling off. You can also bend the plug slightly bigger with the ignition key as I found out in the dark yesterday.
