It's for conducting electricity, but that's not important now!

the engine turns over and there is a clicking under the dash, but it won't start. I'm guessing it's either ignition or fuel pump related but as I don't have the book of words for the beastie I'm struggling - have tried a dozen local (rawtenstall) autoelectricians but as soon as I mention it's a tvr they all run for the hills!! If I can find out what part fuse 13 serves then I may be on my way to finding out why it blows the fuse every time.

There are at least 7 different layouts for these cars so additional help like what car is it and the date would be useful... Also fuse 13 is a little ambigious as is it 13 from the left or 13 from the right. All 7 are in the new bible BTW.

On some of the layouts there is a 20 A fuse for the fuel pump and central locking which is 13 from the left. If you have buzzing this could be the central locking relay getting confused. This is also hooked into the alarm as well so it could be an alarm problem.

The next step is to remove the top of the dash and start probing around.

My chim is a late 94 4.0 model, and not sure if it is relevent but the central locking is constantly switched on (makes getting in and out of it interesting!!) The fuse is 13th from the left, when I turn the ignition on I get a lot of clicking noises from the relays in a box on the far left of the upper part of the dash.
