drivers door opening button

Just been out for a blast. external door release now not working. has often taken 2 or 3 presses now nothing, not any sound at all. where should I look first? all else operates OK

SNAP! Today at the petrol station the same thing happened to me...

"My name is Harrigan, and I can't open the driver's door on my Chimaera..."

As I understand it, there is an access panel just below the seat-belt mechanism and in there we will find some connectors for the solenoid which need cleaning/re-seating.

I haven't looked, so I may be wrong. I am sure that someone with better knowledge than I will come forward and point us in the right direction...

The panel reveals all the lock mechanism.
The solenoid was sticking.
