Anyone know what the sump plug thread is for a '93 4.3. I'm looking to put temperature sensor in there to facilitate an oil temperature gauge (just for fun you understand).
Why don't you self tap a hole in the sump plug itself, it looks big enough, you can get any small oil temp sensor to fit then, that way you can unclip the terminal spades for easy removal to drain the oil.

Exactly what I did. Not beautiful but it does the job.
