Fan Belt

This weekend I will mostly be adjusting the brand new fan belt they have just put on thats already coming off one of the pulleys.

To slacken off the belt, what do I loosen? Is it the alternator as per most fan belts?

I think I'm right in saying that if it's a serpentine engine (2001 model surely is) then they cannot be adjusted. There is a tensioner pully just below the alternator.
