Hello all,

Well I have just got back, called the dealer and apparently its ready. I shall be collecting it this afternoon. The dealer, who I wont name here as its not the done thing, has been rather prompt and very helpful but it shouldnt have happened in the first place.

As for driving it in the wet, well it feels like it could go very ar$ey very quickly but I havent pushed it at all really as its being run in. In the dry it is immense fun and I dont really regret buying one at all, just itching to get back in it now!

Right got it back last night and drove it home, well sat in traffic on the M4 mostly but the driving aspect was good when it happened.

Dealer said that the whining noise was something to do with the air intake not being correctly seated (?). In the 4 or so days it was there (through my choice not theirs) it was given a full check up, had various things including the suspension readjusted and now feels like a much more solid car. There are still a few very minor things that they didnt do that they said they would do at the 1000 mile check up.

All in all I have come away with mixed emotions. The dealers service department were very helpful indeed, found the problems promptly, fixed them and then gave it another 20 or so mile road test found a few more little things and fixed them as well. So from a dealer perspective I am very impressed.

I did, whilst waiting for the AA to turn up write a letter to the Customer Relations man (who I am sure you are all familiar with) at the factory. I outlined in a concise and pleasant manner that I was not happy with TVR's product in the state that it was in when I initially collected it. Since writing that letter 5 days ago I havent received even confirmation that they had recieved it and are looking into the issue. I am disgusted with the factory for this, if I treated my customers with even the minutest disrespect then they would not use my services any more, TVR I feel should be a little more mindful of this and concentrate on retention rather than all out profit.

Still, the weather is pretty good (roads look dry) so roll on lunchtime and I shall be taking it out for a bit of a spin!! :-))

Thanks again for those who posted help, hopefully this will be last time I visit the dealer or have to ask for help outside the scheduled intervals.
