Bye bye baby.... HELLO BABY!

Well thats it, the deed was done this morning. My first car sold to a lucky buyer - be good to her Paul!
Odd feeling seeing her off and the first time I've heard the car being driven away. Suprised the neighbours didn't ever complain, could still hear the racket 1/2 mile away!
Rain better hold off tomorrow, the new one arrives

Well that wasn't on the market long Mark, what's the secret?
I nearly bought the car before you did if you remember - were you pleasd with owning it and what are you getting?
Must say you did needed to spend a bit more than I would have liked in a year (just over) of ownership but then you did do 15k in it!
Will the new owner be tuning in to PHeads? And was he the first to view it?

Hi Mike, did your exhaust get the Offord treatment in the end?
She did indeed go to the first person that viewed and I'd say he's got a cracker. Had looked at a couple of others on offer at similar prices and they'd been grotty in comparison. Interior of mine was still spotless, no leaks, near perfect paintwork, drove beautifully... wasn't suprised he snapped it up! He saw the advert on PH so I'd hope he keeps reading.
Was a fantastic car to own, so good that its left me a bit nervous about the next. Didn't have any of those "start you b'stard!" moments so my fingers are permanently crossed that the new one will behave as well. Your right about the costs but it was mostly down to the excessive mileage - hopefully I'll calm it down a bit this year
Replacement... Chimaera 500 of course
Must sleep, I expect I'm in for a long day of driving, polishing, photographing and filling out a new PH owners page!

Excellent Mark!
Mine has just come back from a 12k service at Offords and the exhaust hasn't been done - YET!
It was fine except for the upper wishbone buhes at the back on both sides - renewed now.
Post up some pics of the 500 when you get a minute. I'm not surprised your blue one went quickly, it was in superb condition when I saw it - just a ittle bit over my budget at the time - you got a great car - which was proved by the quickness with which you sold it.
