Can anyone help me locate the oil pressure relief valve on a 4ltr Serp engine.

from memory it was easiest to get at without the aid of a pit or 4 poster etc,by removing front offside wheel, its down in the oil filter/oil pump direction.think(but not certain)its adjoining oil pump.there you can see it,identifiable by the internal circlip holding the assembly in its housing.plunger should have a very clean,smooth surface and be burr and highspot free if this helps.

I think I'm right in saying that on the serpentine engine the OPR valve is behind the front engine cover - the cover has to be removed to get to it and the oil pump.

er...definately didnt have to do that(mine was serp engine)

Page 41 in the Bible 2. Located above the oil filter fitting.
