When I jacked the front of my car up to work on the chassis/wishbones flakey paint I noticed the righthand side was slightly higher than the left. That is, when I put the axle stands under I had to jack it higher to get the LH one under the longitudinal rail. This was also apparent when having the MOT done and the car was over the pit. He slid the undercar hydraulic jack under front but it picked up the LH rail first and the right didn't contact the jack until the wheels were well off the ground. He wasn't bothered by it though....

Are they all like that sir? - or is it bent? Drives very straight.......

My Chim was higher on the driver side by about 10 - 15mm. When Tops Cats did some work to it i asked them to raise it on the rear nearside. But mine has had adjustable suspension put on it, not sure if they're all adjustable ride height. There is a massive nut at the bottom of the damper i think.

I had Nitrons fitted, and the passenger side needed a LOT more preload at the front to bring the car anywhere near level. I'd taken care to set the preload with a vernier caliper before fitting, and was a bit shocked when one side was about 1.5 inches lower!
