Missing carpet in boot of Chim

Probably a silly question...but...in the boot of my Chim, on top of the petrol tank to be precise.....there is a piece of carpet missing roughly about the size of the radio opening in the dashboard, directly above the petrol tank.
There arent any holes anyway but whatever it was/is then it looks like its been using the petrol tank as a rest.
Would i be correct in thinking that this could have been where a CD changer could have been/is this the usual place to put one?

very good guess,many people put them there.cant think of anything else it could be other than audio related,ie amp or changer.

mines there but there aint no holes on the carpet

If it's grey carpet, there was a bloke on here from one of the bodyshops a week or so ago - giving away some carpet he'd left over - do a search, or look back through the Chim forum.

It was tvrbodyshop - he often posts on here. Do a search.
